Salisbury School Performing Arts Center
As a part of the Salisbury School’s ongoing campus improvement plan, we have designed a new performing arts center to be built in an old gymnasium. Currently under construction, Phase 1 will provide the school’s performing arts department with new musical practice rooms, rehearsal space, and a state-of-the-art electronic music classroom. In Phase 2 a new entrance facing the main quad will be added to the center of the building, providing an elevator and restrooms for the music department and the theater. In Phase 3, the existing theater, which still reveals itself as a former gym, will be renovated with fixed seating and a lobby will be inserted underneath the upper level, where it will serve as a space for receptions and mingling before and after performances.
